1What this hook covers
This hook records how a tool says a finished job is signalled: a webhook or callback URL that the tool calls, or a status the caller polls. 16 tools document a webhook, 7 describe polling, and 5 say neither on the pages read.
Video jobs take minutes, so the signal decides how a pipeline waits. A webhook calls back when the file is ready; polling asks again and again, which is simpler to set up and wasteful at volume.

- A webhook or callback URL: BytePlus ModelArk, Colossyan, Descript, fal, Flixly, HeyGen, Higgsfield, Kling AI, Krea, Luma, OpenAI Sora, PixVerse, Replicate, Revid, Synthesia and VEED
- A status polled until done: Adobe Firefly, D-ID, Google Veo, LTX, MiniMax, Runway and Wan (Alibaba Cloud)
- Not documented in the docs read: invideo, Kapwing, Pika, SceneMixer and Vidu
