How AI video tools plug into a pipeline

Command-line tools for AI video

A command-line tool runs a service from a terminal or a script, so generation can be part of a shell pipeline or a scheduled job. From 3 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.

Krea offers a command line beside its MCP for coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex. Revid lists one among its automations, and Alibaba Cloud's Wan reference shows calls through the dashscope command line.

A command line suits batch work: a list of prompts in a file, a loop, and results written to a folder.

Coding agents use it too, since running a command is often simpler for them than speaking a protocol.

It inherits the account's keys from the environment, which is convenient and easy to leak into logs.

Keep keys out of scripts that are shared, and keep a record of what each batch generated.

A command line and an MCP server often arrive together, as Krea's and Revid's pages show; the command line is the one a person can test by hand.

2One tool in the same pipeline

Read against “Command line”, this is how SceneMixer describes the matching stage of its own pipeline:

Reading a clip produces a scene-by-scene script: who is there, what happens, every line of dialogue, in order.

The script is written from the photos and the one-line description. In step-by-step mode you can rewrite it before anything is shot.
