How AI video tools plug into a pipeline

Check the SDK languages before choosing

Official SDKs come in few languages. Runway offers Node.js and Python, Luma Python and JavaScript, Higgsfield Python and TypeScript, Replicate adds Go, and Flixly offers JavaScript and PHP. From 5 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.

A tool without an SDK in the studio's language is still usable over plain HTTP, at the cost of writing the retries and polling by hand.

Nine tools in the register document an SDK; for the rest, the API reference is the whole interface.

Pin the SDK version in a project, since new releases can change defaults.

Read the SDK's changelog when a model is added; the SDK is often where a new setting appears first.

1As the documentation puts it

We provide SDKs as convenient helpers for interacting with our API.

Runway, developer documentation: SDKs

pip install lumaai

Luma, API documentation: Python video generation

Use the Python or TypeScript SDK to submit a request and wait for its result.

Higgsfield, API documentation

Client libraries for using Replicate's API: Python, Node.js, Go, MCP, and more.

Replicate, documentation: client libraries

Official JavaScript and PHP clients.

2One tool in the same pipeline

Read against “Check the SDK languages before choosing”, this is how SceneMixer describes the matching stage of its own pipeline:

The samples page for 15 languages lists one finished series per language, each with the cast speaking that language natively and every segment's storyboard shown next to its video.

SceneMixer turns a novel into a watchable short-drama series in one pipeline: upload the novel (Chinese or English) → AI extracts characters, scenes, and an episode-by-episode structure → generates consistent character and scene art → writes storyboard scripts → renders video segment by segment (16:9 by default, 9:16 in one setting) → composites full episodes.
