Descript documents editing hand-off and subtitle files, which Wan (Alibaba Cloud)'s pages leave out. Wan (Alibaba Cloud) documents downloads, file formats and SDKs, which Descript's pages leave out. For API access the two match: an API for its own models. For agent hooks, Descript names an MCP connection and Wan (Alibaba Cloud) a command-line tool. For resolution, Descript names 4K and Wan (Alibaba Cloud) 1080p. For job signals, Descript names a webhook or callback URL and Wan (Alibaba Cloud) a status polled until done.
