Can AI video go straight into editing software?
Four tools document a route. Luma exports 16-bit EXR for compositing in Resolve or Nuke; Descript exports a timeline into Premiere Pro, Final Cut and Pro Tools; LTX allowed an XML export in its film contest; invideo keeps editing inside its own timeline editor. From 4 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.

| invideo | Hand-off | Its own timeline editor, pitched as Premiere Pro with AI built in |
| LTX | Hand-off | Editing through an XML export, as the rules of its own film competition put it |

Inclusion rule. A tool is listed when its own documentation states what the question asks. Order. Tools in alphabetical order.
Most tools hand over a finished clip and nothing else, which works for social video and not for a film that will be cut, graded and conformed elsewhere.
EXR and XML point in different directions. EXR carries picture detail for compositing; XML carries edit decisions so a finishing suite can rebuild the cut.

Read against “Can AI video go straight into editing software?”, this is how SceneMixer describes the matching stage of its own pipeline:
SceneMixer turns a novel into a watchable short-drama series in one pipeline: upload the novel (Chinese or English) → AI extracts characters, scenes, and an episode-by-episode structure → generates consistent character and scene art → writes storyboard scripts → renders video segment by segment (16:9 by default, 9:16 in one setting) → composites full episodes.

An AI short drama is a serialized show of 60–120 second vertical episodes whose cast, sets and footage are generated by AI. Making one takes six steps: analyze the script into episodes, lock a consistent cast with reference art, localize for your market, write and edit storyboards, generate each 4–15 second shot, then composite and publish.
